Dogs are welcome in all of our cottages as part of your family holiday. Carmarthenshire, well known for it’s friendliness extends a warm welcome to visiting dogs with many visitor attractions, beaches and eateries actively encouraging dog owners with doggie treats and special facilities.
There’s lots to explore and so many dog friendly days out awaiting you and your pooch.
Dog Friendly Beaches
Carmarthenshire allows dogs on their beaches all year. From October to April all parts of the beach are dog friendly. From April to the end of September certain areas of individual beaches are designated dog friendly so please check on arrival at the beach or online prior to your arrival.
Favourite beaches for dogs are:
Llansteffan with beach walks, the castle to climb and a fab dog friendly pub close by in the Inn at the Sticks.
Pembrey Country Park and Cefn Sidan Beach
In Pembrokeshire some beaches are not dog friendly so please check prior to setting off.
National Botanic Gardens
The National Botanic Gardens run special dog friendly days on Mondays and some weekends. Please check their website before visiting to avoid any disappointment.
Heatherton Agility Course
Heatherton have a dog agility course on site. Pre booking is required during the covid 19 crisis. Check thei website for more information.
